AIRLINE DISCOUNTS

Special airfare discounts are available to you for flights to Barcelona (BCN) on United Airlines and their Codeshare Partners.

Find all the details and booking links/codes HERE.

BEDS

We’ll provide Celebrity with your bed configuration preferences. The beds in the stateroom can either be set up as one larger bed or split into two separate beds. When you first get to your stateroom, if your bed isn’t configured as you wish, simply ask your Stateroom Attendant to reconfigure it and they’ll either put them together to form the larger bed or break them apart to form two smaller beds.

BARCELONA DISCOUNTS

We’re thrilled to celebrate LEADER Barcelona as a Friend of VACAYA! This Barcelona-based menswear and partywear store offers bold, stylish looks perfect for everything from everyday adventures to unforgettable nights out. LEADER is delighted to offer VACAYA guests a 20% discount on all products with code VACAYA20. BEVERAGE PACKAGES

VACAYA has been called a “Game Changer.” Well for those of you who are new to VACAYA, here’s a great reason why… CELEBRITY’S UNLIMITED BEVERAGE PACKAGES WILL BE AVAILABLE TO YOU ON THIS CRUISE! Once online registration opens shortly before the cruise, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase one of the myriad unlimited Alcoholic or Non-Alcoholic Beverage Packages directly from Celebrity.

At VACAYA we’re all about demystifying the charter cruise experience and one of the first myths we’d like to bust for our newbies is that it’s not possible to offer drink packages on charter cruises. Let’s be clear… unlimited alcoholic drink packages are difficult to pull off on charter cruises because if they’re offered, everyone onboard is typically required to purchase one. However, working with the fabulous Celebrity team, we’ve come up with a plan to allow you to enjoy the packages usually unavailable on big-ship charter cruises.

The biggest concern with offering unlimited packages has always been that charter cruises are simply different than standard cruises. Charter cruises like those produced by VACAYA are all about bringing people together, with cruisers making many new friends along the way. And based on the industry’s experience, package abuse – where guests with an unlimited package “buy” drinks for guests who don’t have a package – is a real concern. It’s theft. So it’s been easier to simply eliminate the possibility of theft than to deal with the real-world consequences of those abusive actions.

But here at VACAYA, we kept asking ourselves, “Are our guests the type of people who’d walk into a convenience store and put a few beers in their pocket and walk out without paying? Or go to a restaurant and leave without paying their bill?” No matter how we asked the question, the answer for us was always “no.”

We trust you not to abuse the system. Not to steal. And it’s that level of trust, combined with Celebrity’s state-of-the-art monitoring, that has allowed this to become a standard part of VACAYA big-ship vacations. But now it’s up to you to ensure that all guests play by the rules in regard to these package offerings.

THE FINE PRINT

  • Packages can be purchased directly from Celebrity after receiving your Celebrity Booking Number from VACAYA just before the cruise.
  • All occupants of a single stateroom are required to purchase a beverage package if one person purchases a package. For roommates where one person drinks and the other is either a recovering alcoholic or has a medical issue that does not allow them to consume alcohol, the non-drinker is required to purchase the Non-Alcoholic Drink Package. You cannot split the packages up when purchasing online; Celebrity’s system requires everyone in the same stateroom to purchase the same package. So if one of you is a drinker purchasing the Premium or Classic Drink Package and the other is a non-drinker purchasing the Non-Alcoholic Drink Package, you’ll have to handle this “split purchase” when you board the ship on Day 1.
  • Packages may not be shared, and do not include beverages sold in gift shops, mini-bar (unless part of your specific package), or room service (meaning you can’t order a vodka soda to be delivered to your room).
  • All listed prices on Celebrity’s site are in USD and are subject to change without notice.
  • A 20% service charge will be added to all drink packages when purchased.
  • Packages are sold on a per cruise basis, and not on a per day or any other basis.
  • Purchased packages may be modified up to four days prior to sailing by canceling and reordering the package.
  • Cancellations or refunds will not be issued onboard the vessel after embarkation day.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase any alcoholic package and to consume alcohol.
  • The security systems employed – both point-of-sale and CCTV – will alert Celebrity of any abuses.
  • The triggers that will immediately raise the red flag of potential abuse with Celebrity include:
    • Ordering drinks in rapid succession at the same bar
    • Ordering drinks from different bars within the same area over a short period of time (for example, a drink at the Pool Bar, then 5 minutes later a drink at a satellite bar)
    • Each night, each guest’s consumption is reviewed. Any abnormalities will result in further investigation, including, but not limited to a review of video surveillance footage.
  • If caught abusing the system by “buying” drinks for others, the offender will immediately lose their Unlimited Beverage Package and no refund will be offered.
    Other terms and conditions apply.

You can explore the various drink packages and decide which is best for you HERE.*

*PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Promotional offers on Celebrity’s preview page (e.g., Casino Chips, etc.) are not available on charter events.

CAPTAINS CLUB BENEFITS

Because this is a charter event, Captain’s Club benefits (complimentary upgrades, discounts, free drinks, etc.) do not apply. If you’re a member of Celebrity’s Captain’s Club, you will, however, still earn loyalty points in the program for this VACAYA sailing upon request directly with Celebrity.

For a deep dive into the mechanics of why these benefits aren’t available, we encourage you to read our Re-examining Loyalty Blog.

CELLULAR SERVICES AT SEA

To avoid exorbitant mobile service charges while at sea, we recommend turning your phone to Airplane Mode when we’re not docked. If you don’t, you’ll automatically connect to “Cellular At Sea,” which has truly astounding per-MB rates for data/calls. Even if you’re not actively searching the web, most phones automatically download emails and refresh webpages in the background, and that could easily escalate to hundreds or even thousands of dollars in extra mobile charges from your provider.

TECHNICAL ISSUE ASSISTANCE

VACAYA is unable to assist with technical issues in registering/purchasing extras. Both Cullen and My’Linda are V Team superheroes, yes, but they don’t have access to Celebrity’s systems.

If you need assistance, please contact Celebrity directly at +1.877.200.2897 during standard US business hours. Also, please keep in mind that there may be a bug or two in the system as you try to navigate through the check-in or purchase process. Many times, if you log out and try again later, whatever hiccup was happening originally is no longer an issue.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT BEVERAGE PACKAGES

As a reminder… if one person in your stateroom purchases an unlimited beverage package, all other guests in your stateroom are required to purchase one, too. If the second guest is a recovering alcoholic or has a medical condition that does not allow them to consume alcohol, they’re required to purchase Celebrity’s Non-Alcoholic Drink Package. You cannot split the packages up when purchasing online; Celebrity’s system requires everyone in the same stateroom to purchase the same package. So if one of you is a drinker purchasing an Unlimited Alcoholic Beverage Package and the other is a non-drinker purchasing the Non-Alcoholic Drink Package, you’ll have to handle this purchase when you board the ship on Day 1.

You can see all the details about purchasing a package HERE, in the “Beverage Packages” section of our GET READY page. Please pay special attention to THE FINE PRINT, which outlines the requirements of Celebrity’s packages.

In order for VACAYA to continue offering these packages, EVERYONE has to abide by the rules. To abide by the rules, though, you have to understand them. So, before either you or your roommate purchases a package, dive in, read, and make sure you fully comprehend what’s been laid out. There’s no hurry in making this particular purchase; please take your time, consider everything carefully, and when you’re ready, move forward and purchase your desired package.

We stress this so that if you come to us on Day 2 (or any other day, for that matter) and say, “We didn’t understand what we were buying and we want a refund,” you’ll fully understand why the answer to that request will be a firm and non-negotiable “no.”

CLOTHING OPTIONAL SUN DECK

VACAYA will offer a clothing optional space onboard where sun lovers can sunbathe in the nude. We’ll have details of the exact location shortly before the cruise. The clothing optional sun deck is ONLY available on Sea Days. While in all of our ports, swimsuits are required on the upper decks.

And obviously… we ask that cameras not be used in this area.

CURRENCY

The following currencies are used along our journey:

Euros in Spain and Portugal:

1 USD = 0.87 EUR
1 EUR = 1.15 USD

The Moroccan Dirham is used in Morocco:

1 USD = 9.4 MAD
1 MAD = 0.11 USD

For the most current exchange rates, we recommend https://www.xe.com/.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS

A valid passport is required of all travelers.

Visas are not required for US Citizens, but may be required of other nationalities.

Guests from countries that require a visa MUST obtain a valid visa before leaving home. Laws do not allow a guest who requires a visa to board the ship without required visa(s). SPECIAL NOTE: Even if you’re told you won’t need a visa if you plan to stay on the ship, this is NOT TRUE. If a visa is required of your nationality, you MUST have a visa even if you plan to stay on the ship.

These travel documentation requirements are government regulations and policies. They are subject to change without notice. It is the sole responsibility of each guest to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. These appropriate valid travel documents (such as passports and visas) are required for boarding, entry into other countries, and reentry into the United States.

We strongly recommend that all guests travel with a passport that’s valid for at least six (6) months beyond the end of their cruise. This greatly assists guests who may need to fly out of the United States to meet their ship at the next available port should they miss their scheduled embarkation; guests entering the U.S. at the end of their cruise; and guests needing to fly to the U.S. before their cruise ends, because of medical, family, personal, or business emergencies, missing a ship’s departure from a port of call, involuntary disembarkation from a ship due to misconduct, or other reasons.

The name on your VACAYA reservation must match the name on your passport or other identification documents.

Guests who do not possess the proper documentation will be denied boarding.

Unfortunately, no refunds will be given to individuals who are denied boarding due to improper documentation.

DRESS CODE

Augusts in Europe have grown warmer and warmer through the years, with temps often surpassing 100°F / 37.778°C. That, of course, doesn’t mean it will be that warm for our cruise, but it could be. So, before packing, be sure to check the up-to-the-minute forecast.

DAY:

  • Lightweight, breathable tops in linen, cotton, or moisture-wicking blends

  • Loose shorts, skirts, sundresses, or lightweight trousers

  • Breathable walking shoes or stylish sneakers for city days

  • Sandals for beach/coastal time, but not as your only shoe

  • A hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen every day

  • A crossbody or day bag for water, sunscreen, and a small umbrella

Best outfit formula

  • Daytime city sightseeing: breathable shirt + relaxed shorts/trousers + walking shoes

  • Beach/coast: swimwear + cover-up + sandals + hat

  • Dinner out: smart-casual summer look, such as a linen shirt or polished top with light trousers, skirt, or a breezy dress

What not to overpack

  • Heavy denim

  • Thick black clothing

  • Bulky jackets

  • Shoes that aren’t already broken in

A few practical style notes

  • In big cities like Barcelona, Lisbon, and Porto, people often dress casual but pulled together, so think comfortable and polished, not sloppy.

  • For churches or religious sites, bring something that can cover shoulders or add a little modesty when needed.

  • If you’re visiting inland Spain as part of your pre- or post-cruise plans, expect hotter conditions than on the coast.

NIGHT: VACAYA’s dress code is “Evening Chic” – smart and stylish. But what does that actually mean?

Dress pants/designer jeans, collared shirts, cocktail dresses, and skirts with a nice top fit the bill perfectly.

We never want to limit your creative freedom as far as dress is concerned, so know that there are no hard and fast rules in regard to what’s acceptable and what’s not. But here are some specific recommendations that will help you decide what’s most appropriate for the ship’s elegant and casual dining spaces throughout the evening:

  • Tank Tops in the Main Restaurants for dinner aren’t the best choice. Let’s be real… only a few of us (and we applaud you fetishists) would want to see a hairy armpit while enjoying filet mignon and lobster.
  • Dress Shorts are ok in the Main Restaurants for dinner. Swimsuits are not.
  • Dress Sandals are ok in all restaurants for dinner. Flip-flops? Not so much.
  • If you’d like to keep your dress super casual for dinner, Oceanview Café provides a perfect dining choice. And flip-flops are a-ok around the clock in Oceanview Café.
  • For dinner, shorts and T-shirts are discouraged in the elevated dining experiences of Le Petit Chef, Murano, Tuscan Grille, Sushi on Five, Blu (for AquaClass guests), and Luminae (for Retreat guests).

PARTIES: Our theme parties will provide you with endless opportunities to show off your style with imaginative costumes. Just keep in mind that your penis and balls and your vagina have to be covered (unless otherwise noted). But by all means don’t be afraid of the exciting world of sheer fabrics… we love them! Because Oceanview Café will be open late into the night (and we know you’re going to want a burger at 2am), we ask that if you’re wearing a costume that exposes your butt cheeks, that you wrap a towel around yourself while dining. Towels will be available near the entrance of the dining hall.

THE POOL DECK: Just like with the men, women are allowed to use Equinox’s pools topless. If anyone would like to sunbathe fully nude, please use our Clothing Optional Sun Deck while at sea. Please note that nude sunbathing is not allowed on the Clothing Optional Sun Deck when we’re docked alongside the pier.

GETTING TO EQUINOX ON AUGUST 6

Celebrity Equinox will be docked at Terminal B at the Port de Barcelona, Moll Adossat 08039 Barcelona, Spain.

GRATUITIES

100% of your prepaid gratuities go to onboard staffers, including your stateroom attendant, the culinary services staff, the behind-the-scenes hotel services staff, and the myriad department heads who work with their teams around the clock to create a flawless VACAYA experience for you.

A 20% gratuity is added to all beverage purchases, specialty dining purchases, and spa/salon services. If you purchase one of Celebrity’s Beverage Packages, remember that you’ve already paid the gratuity when purchasing your package. No further gratuity is required, but additional gratuities are always appreciated.

A Note About Additional Tipping: As a community, we are extremely generous. We eagerly recognize outstanding individual service with a few extra dollars here and there. Of course, no extra monetary recognition is ever required, but when you take the time to say “thank you” and offer that 3am room service attendant or your favorite bartender a couple dollars, know that it’s always immensely appreciated by the crew members you recognize.

INTERNET ACCESS

We’ll have full Wi-Fi package details/pricing available to you approximately 45 days before our departure date.

LANYARDS

When boarding Equinox, you’ll be greeted by several V Team members who’ll give you a choice of 3 different colored lanyards – red, yellow, or green. Not only will the lanyard hold your room key card (especially helpful when in a swimsuit without pockets), but it’ll also help tell a part of your story at a glance:

RED – I’m happily taken and off the market, but definitely open to new friends.

YELLOW – I’m magical and mysterious. Ask for my deets.

GREEN – I’m open and ready to mingle.

We recognize you’ll be making a lanyard decision on Day 1 that might look a little different by Day 3. If you decide later that you’d like a different color, please swing by the VACAYA Hospitality Desk when open (hours are listed in your daily program) and we’ll be happy to offer an alternative while supplies last.

MARKETPLACE

For all the latest VACAYA gear (or V-Gear, as we call it) – from T-shirts and hoodies to coffee mugs and hats – visit our online marketplace…

SHOP TILL YOU DROP AT THE VACAYA MARKETPLACE

LUGGAGE HANDLING & ISSUES

If your luggage doesn’t arrive with you at the airport, be sure to file a claim with your airline and make sure they understand you’re getting on a cruise ship. It’s also wise to provide them with a copy of your itinerary. Once onboard Equinox, be sure to let the Guest Services Team know your bag has been delayed. This will help immensely in getting your bags to our ever-moving ship.

When you arrive at the Port of Barcelona, you’ll hand off your luggage to the porters at the taxi drop-off. Before handing off your bags, be sure each bag is properly tagged to your stateroom. When you check in online in advance of the cruise, you’ll also be able to print luggage tags. We recommend waiting to arrive in Barcelona BEFORE placing those tags on your luggage. This will help ensure they don’t get ripped off during your flights.

It usually takes between 4-6 hours from the moment you hand over your luggage to the pier-side porters until the bags arrive to your stateroom. If your luggage hasn’t arrived by 8pm, reach out to Guest Services. They will do their best to track down your bags. Usually, the reason for a piece of luggage not making its way to your room is that the identifying tag was ripped off at some point in the transfer from pier to ship. These untagged bags are placed in corral awaiting identification.

MEDICAL SERVICES

Basic medical services are available onboard. The Medical Center is located on Deck 2 mid-ship. Their opening hours will be posted in the ship’s daily program. 24-hour emergency services are also available.

VACAYA recommends that you consult with your primary physician before sailing if you’re experiencing any serious or chronic medical issues. The onboard medical team can provide basic services for illnesses/injuries that may occur onboard. They are also able to diagnose and stabilize most emergency situations. If you require emergency services that can only be provided by a shore-side facility, transfers can be arranged. Please note, however, that while sailing, transfers may be affected by weather or other logistical considerations.

Quarantines: The health and safety of guests and crew is of paramount importance. And on rare occasions, the medical team may decide your condition requires you to be quarantined to your room. This is most common when highly contagious gastrointestinal illnesses like Norovirus are diagnosed. We’ve all heard the stories of hundreds of cruise passengers falling ill with stomach issues like Norovirus and the like. Based on Center for Disease Control guidelines, quarantine is the medical team’s best defense in stopping the spread of viruses such as this. If you’re quarantined, we will do our very best to make you as comfortable as possible for the duration of your quarantine.

MEETUPS

VACAYA is all about connections. And we’ll host different professional and interest group meetups throughout the week, giving you the chance to come together with others who share like interests. We’ll also host twice-daily 12-step meetings. It’s time to make some new friends!

ONLINE BINGO CARD SALES

IMPORTANT BINGO ANNOUNCEMENT!

For those of you who’ve been cruising for a long time and have attended any of our past bingo sessions, you know how long the lines can get for Bingo Card sales. Well… for our 2026 Total Eclipse Med Cruise, those queues are a thing of the past!

For this cruise, cards for our bingo sessions will be sold ONLINE by Celebrity in advance.

You’ll purchase your bingo cards in the same Celebrity system where you purchase your excursions, spa services, specialty dining, etc. based on the session(s) you’d like to attend. There are two sessions:

  • Sister Helen Holy’s Church Bingo, Round 1 (Aug 8 @ 2pm)
  • Sister Helen Holy’s Church Bingo, Round 2 (Aug 14 @ 2pm)

100% of the bingo cards for each session will be sold online in advance. You can find them under the “Onboard Activities” section of Celebrity’s booking tool (https://www.celebritycruises.com/account/). Obviously, that changes the purchase dynamic quite a bit for those of you who are used to queuing up before each session to buy your cards. If you want to be guaranteed a seat at your desired session, the only way to do that is to purchase your card(s) in advance.

As a reminder and as always, your bingo card is your entry ticket into the theater. We seat all players first, and then open up any remaining seats to non-players* approximately 5 minutes before the session begins.

Pre-purchased cards can be picked up in the Entertainment Court on Deck 4 according to the following schedule:

  • Sister Helen Holy’s Church Bingo, Round 1 – from 8:30am-11am on Aug 7 or 8:30am-1:30pm on Aug 8
  • Sister Helen Holy’s Church Bingo, Round 2 – from 8:30am-11am on Aug 13 or 8:30am-1:30pm on Aug 14

If you’d like to play additional cards, those additional cards can be purchased during these pre-purchased card distribution hours. In addition, if a session hasn’t sold out in advance, additional seats/cards will be sold here.

Please note that only one bingo round’s cards will be distributed at a time. Meaning, you can’t purchase a card to the second bingo session and pick it up before the first session has taken place. This ensures your card matches the designated session for which you’ve purchased your card.

If not sold out online in advance, onboard Bingo card sales will be cut off at 1:30pm before each session. This allows the onboard team to properly determine the prize amounts for each game. And it goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway… the more people play, the higher those prize amounts become!

To purchase Bingo cards, sign in to your Celebrity account HERE then go to PLAN MY CRUISE > click on the MORE tab > select PROGRAMMING > select the card pack for the day you’d like to attend > PURCHASE NOW > select who you’re buying those cards for > choose how many card packs you’d like (“Amount per guest”) > ADD TO CART > then complete your purchase

*“Non-players” include any husbands, wives, partners, roommates, friends, or Grindr hookups who didn’t purchase their own card. And remember… in the words of the Good Sister, “How dull does your life have to be, to watch bingo?” It’s time to live it up and get in the game!

PARTY THEMES

VACAYA’s promise to you is to deliver party themes for each of our trips 120 Days before our adventure together. That day is Wednesday, April 8, 2026, so here goes…

Day 1 – Thursday, August 6, 2026 – Barcelona (Depart 5pm)

THIS IS ME with DJ Modgirl

8:30pm – Grand Foyer – Decks 3, 4, and 5

It’s Night One and we’re kicking things off VACAYA style… with open hearts, new friends, and a little somethin’ somethin’ that tells your story. Tonight, wear one standout detail that helps other Vacayans know you at a glance: where you’re from, who you are, what you love, what you’re celebrating, or what you’re here to become. Keep your look as simple or as extra as you want, but make sure your “this is me” is easy to spot and easy to ask about. Then come ready to mingle, laugh, and collect new names, new stories, and new people you’ll be glad you met!

Day 2 – Friday, August 7, 2026 – Ibiza (11am-9am tomorrow)

The party is in town and we encourage you to book tickets to one of Ibiza’s legendary nightclubs, which go all night long. Don’t worry, though… you don’t have to be back on the ship until 8:30am! For nearly one-stop shopping for entrance tickets to the island’s nightclubs, go HERE. Keep in mind that there’s really no exclusively gay megaclub in Ibiza, but Chinois and Glitterbox at Amnesia are among our fav mostly-gays clubs for a great night out on the island. If you’re looking for over-the-top production, legendary clubs Pacha, UNVRS, and Ushuaia can’t be beat.

If “bar” is more your speed than “megaclub,” Lola’s and the area around Calle de la Virgen / Calle Alfonso XIII in Ibiza Town can’t be beat. Calle de la Virgen / Calle Alfonso XIII is the epicenter of Ibiza’s gay scene and is lined with small bars, restaurants, boutiques, and fetish shops.

For those on board, DJ IPOK will be spinning in Sky Lounge from 11pm-3am.

Day 3 – Saturday, August 8, 2026 – Day at Sea (leave Ibiza at 9am)

SEMÁFORO V-DANCE with DJ Tatiana

4pm – Main Pool – Deck 12

Today, we’re bringing a little Spanish flair to a VACAYA classic: the Stoplight V-Dance, or as they’d say in Spain, Semáforo. Pick your color and let it do the talking:

  • Green (Verde): Ready to mingle. New friends, new flirtations, new possibilities.
  • Yellow (Amarillo): Somewhere in between. Say hi, see where the night takes you.
  • Red (Rojo): Taken or not looking, but absolutely here for the fun and the friends.

Wear your color head-to-toe, or just make it unmistakable with one bold statement piece. Then hit the dance floor and let Spain’s energy do the rest. Respect the signal, keep it consent-forward, and remember: no matter your color, everyone’s here to feel welcome.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE PARTY – LOIN! with DJ IPOK

10pm – Main Pool – Deck 12

Sometimes a theme doesn’t need much fabric to make its point. Welcome to LOIN, a barely-there celebration of ancient gods, jungle royalty, shipwrecked fantasies, cave-club couture, and the timeless power of a well-placed flap. Come in a loincloth, a leather wrap, a gladiator scrap, a barbarian belt, a tropical leaf moment, or whatever keeps you legally, creatively, and magnificently held together. This is primal, playful, body-forward fun without overthinking it. The assignment is simple: cover the essentials, reveal the confidence, and bring just enough civilization to make it to the bar.

After Hours with DJ Roland in Sky Lounge @ 1:30am(ish)

Day 4 – Sunday, August 9, 2026 – Tangier, Morocco (7am-4pm)

SAHARA SOUK with DJ Modgirl

10pm – Main Pool – Deck 12

Tonight, as we sail away from Tangier, Equinox transforms into a lantern-lit marketplace at the edge of the desert. Welcome to SAHARA SOUK, where the air feels warm, the music feels hypnotic, and every corner of the night shimmers with possibility. This is Morocco after dark through a VACAYA lens: spice and silk, gold and shadow, rhythm and romance. Come dressed like you just wandered in from the dunes or slipped through the arches of a midnight market. Tonight, Tangier fades into the horizon. The Sahara takes over. And the souk is open for business, baby!

Day 5 – Monday, August 10, 2026 – Lisbon, Portugal (10:30am-9pm)

HALL PASS with DJ IPOK

10pm – Main Pool – Deck 12

We’re going back to school, and tonight, you’ve got a HALL PASS! We’re serving a playful, naughty schoolboy/schoolgirl vibe that says you’re off the clock, off the leash (or ON, if that’s your kink), and fully allowed to explore. Think latex, leather, harnesses, collars, boots, jockstraps, puppy hoods, and that unmistakable energy that says you’re here for mischief and connection. We’ll start with a high-voltage dance floor and let the tension build, then we’re putting you in detention with an after party in the Red Light District, where the night gets even bolder and the rules get deliciously loose. Class is officially dismissed. Permission granted.

After Hours with DJ Modgirl in Sky Lounge @ 1:30am(ish)

Day 6 – Tuesday, August 11, 2026 – Porto, Portugal (8:30am-6pm)

COUNTDOWN TO TOTALITY 80s PARTY with DJ Roland

8:30pm – Grand Foyer – Decks 3, 4, and 5

Tomorrow night, the sky steals the show. But tonight belongs to the ultimate 80s icon, the ultimate 80s soundtrack, and an at-sea premiere that’s pure VACAYA magic. After the Stop! That! Train! movie-at-sea premiere on The Lawn, we’re taking the energy straight to the dance floor for a full-throttle celebration of RuPaul, the film, and the decade that gave us big hair, bigger attitude, and the kind of music that still hits like a power chord. Come dressed like you just stepped out of an 80s music video, or like you’re heading to a premiere with a little extra drag-worthy flair. Think electric brights, metallics, mesh, acid wash, shoulder pads, leg warmers, bold prints, fingerless gloves, loud accessories, and glam that refuses to be subtle. This is your pre-eclipse charge-up: sing it, sweat it, strut it, and dance like the universe is watching. Because tomorrow night? It will be!

After Hours with DJ IPOK in Sky Lounge @ 12am(ish)

Day 7 – Wednesday, August 12, 2026 – A Coruña, Spain – (8am-5pm)

BLACKOUT! with DJ Tatiana

8:30pm(ish) – Main Pool – Deck 12

Everything about tonight is a first, chief among them: a total eclipse at sea. After the eclipse, we’ll dance under the stars at our BLACKOUT party. Let the weather (this stretch of the Atlantic can swing wildly) decide how little or how much you wear. Just keep it all black.

Day 8 – Thursday, August 13, 2026 – Day at Sea

FLAMING HOT with DJ Modgirl

10pm – Main Pool – Deck 12

In honor of last night’s celestial superstar (that’s the sun, y’all), we’re turning the heat all the way up tonight. Think fully baked looks in red, yellow, and orange, like you just stepped off the surface of the sun and straight onto the dance floor. Go bold. Go glossy. Go fiery. Flames, lava, embers, hot metal, neon heat, molten sequins, spicy satin, sheer layers over bright swimwear, feathered fire, metallics that glow, and anything that reads “too hot to handle.” If it looks like it could toast a marshmallow, it’s perfect!

After Hours with DJ Tatiana in Sky Lounge @ 1:30am(ish)

Day 9 – Friday, August 14, 2026 – Day at Sea

SHE’S A MESS V-DANCE with DJ Roland

4pm – Main Pool – Deck 12

This is it, our now iconic end-of-the-cruise signature V-Dance where we throw elegance overboard and celebrate the glorious chaos we all created together. For this afternoon’s party, simply wear one item from every costume you’ve worn all week. One piece, one accessory, one loud, ridiculous, beloved detail from each party. Stack it all up and serve as the walking highlight reel of your vacation. Come messy. Come proud. Come as proof you said yes over and over again. And when the music hits, bring that beautiful disaster to the dance floor!

PHONE SERVICES

The standard way for someone to reach you while you’re on Celebrity Equinox is to call Celebrity’s ship-to-shore line:

From the U.S.: +1.877.266.1020
From outside the U.S.: +1.321.953.9002

How it works:

  • The caller follows the prompts to select the ship.

  • They’ll be asked for a credit card number and expiration date.

  • The call is routed onboard and then to your stateroom. If you don’t answer, the onboard desk can take a written message for delivery.

A few important notes:

  • This is generally best for urgent or important calls, because ship-to-shore calling is typically expensive.

  • The caller should have your full name, ship name (Celebrity Equinox), and ideally your stateroom number ready. The stateroom routing is part of Celebrity’s process.

Usually, a cheaper option is to have people contact you through Wi-Fi-based apps like iMessage, WhatsApp, or email when you have an internet package.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY ONBOARD

Guests looking to preserve their cruise memories may encounter onboard photo and video documentarians in the form of the Celebrity Cruises’ photo team and the VACAYA media team.

For the most immediate access to photos from your vacation, look out for the Celebrity-badged photographers onboard. Celebrity offers an extensive range of photography services for guests to capture and preserve memories of their cruise. Trained photographers are on hand to capture every special moment of the vacation, from formal portraits to candid shots around the ship. There are a variety of packages available, ranging from single prints to digital packages, to cater to different budgets and preferences. Special events, such as parties and shore excursions, can also be commemorated with specially designed photo packages. The photos are captured using high-quality cameras and equipment, ensuring they are of professional quality. The photo desk staff, located on Deck 5 is available to assist guests in choosing the right package and scheduling a photo session that fits their schedule.

VACAYA also has a media team onboard to document the overall guest experience for our photo and video archives. The main goal of this team is to showcase the VACAYA brand to current and potential guests through our website, social media, and marketing communications. Their work is critical in helping us achieve our vision of becoming the #1 global brand in LGBTQ+ vacations. While they’ll be capturing the guest experience, it’s important to keep in mind that they are not specifically there to serve as individual photographers for guests. If you’re looking for personal photos and videos from your vacation, the Celebrity photo team is available to provide professional photography services and capture stunning, high-quality memories of your time onboard.

At VACAYA and Celebrity, we understand some guests may prefer not to have their photos taken during their cruise. We respect your privacy and your right to decline photography services. If you prefer not to participate in either the Celebrity photo services or the VACAYA media team’s documentation of the guest experience, simply let our photographers or media team members know your preference.

REACHOUT

For our 2026 Total Eclipse Med Cruise, VACAYA’s ReachOUT initiative proudly supports FELGTBI+, Spain’s leading organization advocating for the rights, equality, and well-being of LGBTQ+ people and their families.

FELGTBI+ works year-round to combat discrimination, promote equality, provide support and resources to LGBTQ+ individuals, and advance social and legislative change that protects the rights and dignity of our community. Their work reaches some of the most vulnerable members of the LGBTQ+ community, including youth, transgender individuals, LGBTQ+ families, migrants, and people living with HIV.

As we visit Spain, we invite you to help us give back to the community welcoming us. Supporting FELGTBI+ helps ensure that LGBTQ+ people continue to have access to advocacy, resources, support services, and protection from discrimination. The rights we have today were hard-won, and organizations like FELGTBI+ work every day to defend and strengthen them for future generations.

Please consider making a donation to support FELGTBI+’s important work. Donation QR codes will be displayed throughout the ship, and you’ll also find a donation link just below.

Together, we can help advance equality, dignity, and human rights for LGBTQ+ people across Spain and beyond.

RED LIGHT DISTRICT

One of the most talked-about and celebrated spaces aboard VACAYA’s big-ship cruises is our Red Light District (RLD). For 2026, the RLD returns fully reimagined and more intoxicating than ever before – this time inside (so strong winds can’t derail the fun) on Deck 14 Forward near the Sky Lounge.

The RLD aboard Equinox is a bold, unapologetic expression of our progressive views on pleasure, connection, and freedom. Open Nights 1-8 from 11pm until late, the RLD is your after-hours playground.

In our RLD, you’ll find dedicated, slightly more discreet play spaces (think European backroom vibes), while the entire RLD remains open for flirting, exploring, and indulging.

One of our dedicated spaces is specifically for our Transcend guests – Women, Trans, and Non-Binary Vacayans and friends – creating a welcoming, affirming space to relax, connect, and enjoy the experience together.

Just outside the entrance of the RLD, you’ll find a satellite bar – perfect for grabbing a cocktail and lingering in the glow of anticipation. Comfortable seating surrounds the entrance so you can sip, socialize, and people-watch. This bar will be open until late.

At VACAYA, we believe sex-progressiveness thrives when everyone’s an equal partner in creating a safe, respectful, and wildly fun environment. To that end, a few non-negotiables keep the RLD extraordinary for all:

  • Consent is EVERYTHING and the ultimate turn-on.
  • “No” always means “No.” No exceptions.
  • No cameras. Ever.
  • Respect boundaries, spaces, and each other… always.
  • Do not insert yourself into interactions or groups you haven’t been invited into, especially repeatedly (don’t be that person)
  • If you see something that feels off, say something.*
  • When in doubt, ask first and listen fully to the answer.
  • Clean up after yourself (trash cans are located throughout the space).
  • Nudity is welcome inside the RLD; once you step outside, please ensure all bits are covered.

Floating effortlessly through the RLD are your V Team hosts. They’re your confident guides, calm anchors, and knowing eyes after dark. Whether you have a question, a concern, or just need a little guidance, they’re always nearby and happy to help. You’ll find them stationed at a table just outside the RLD’s main entrance and roaming throughout the space all night long, ensuring the vibe stays playful, respectful, and exactly as delicious as it should be.

The Red Light District is many things: provocative, liberating, and unforgettably fun. What it’s not is careless. Together, we create an atmosphere where curiosity and confidence coexist with respect and trust.

For a deeper look at what awaits behind the red curtain, visit: https://www.myvacaya.com/discover/red-light-district/

*By far, the most common concern we hear arises when someone inserts themselves into interactions or groups where they’ve not been invited, particularly when this behavior is repeated. If you experience or witness conduct that feels inappropriate or violates our shared standards of respect, please notify an RLD host or staff leader immediately. All reports are handled with discretion and confidentiality. VACAYA has zero tolerance for retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith or reports a potential violation of our Code of Conduct.

GENERAL RULES OF THE ROAD

Be polite and respectful.

This should go without saying, but no means no. Whether that “no” is verbal, physical, or simply one’s attitude, if someone seems disinterested, leave them alone. Don’t try to initiate play if someone is walking away, shaking their head, pushing your hand away, or otherwise declining via body language. Don’t be pushy or rude. You’ll be asked to leave the space if you are.

Understand that consent is sometimes non-verbal.

To put a finer point on the above: if someone is blindfolded and on all fours, they’re likely giving you non-verbal consent to have sex with them. If a guy is standing there with his dick in his hand, he’s giving you non-verbal consent to approach and likely give him oral sex. If, however, anyone pulls away or otherwise signals a change in intent, that means they’ve declined consent, too.

These are obvious situations and pretty common, but if you’re ever unsure, it’s always acceptable to ask. Other situations, however, may not be so clear. Be aware of your body language and the body language of others, and remember that non-verbal consent gets harder to read when alcohol is involved.

That being said, please understand when entering a play space like the Red Light District, a certain degree of consent is waived.

If you walk into a space where people are having sex, you waive a degree of consent. That’s the reality of the situation. Of course, you still retain the ability to deny consent; if someone touches you, you can gently rebuff them or move their hand away. Anonymous groping and touching is a feature of these spaces, and by entering them, you will all but certainly face it. Please keep this simple rule in mind: don’t be an asshole. Don’t push yourself on someone if they’re clearly denying consent.

Understand that not everyone reads body language the same way.

If you’re in the Red Light District where talking is at a minimum and body language is the primary mode of communication, you run the risk of misreading someone’s intent – a risk everyone assumes by being there. If you have to be more direct with someone, open your mouth and speak. There is a big difference between misreading someone’s body language and ignoring a direct, verbal “no.” If the latter occurs, tell the V Team members who’ll be present at the RLD each night. Disrespecting consent isn’t sexy; it’s harassment. And pushing it too far could be criminal.

Don’t let rejection ruin your night.

Some people will want to play with you, some simply won’t. The person you’ve been looking at all night may not be in to you, and that’s okay. Accept it, and know that’s part of the reality of every play space.

Never talk about who you saw at the Red Light District, and never take photos or videos.

The Red Light District is a place people go to be uninhibited, to break loose from the morals and judgement of society, and fulfill their sexual fantasies. Respecting the privacy of others is key to maintaining that atmosphere. Talking about other attendees outside these venues reflects poorly on you, and detracts from the purpose of the space. CAMERAS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT.

If you choose to have unprotected sex, assume the risks.

All sex carries some risk of HIV/STI transmission, but that risk can be minimized if you take certain precautionary measures, like using condoms or taking PrEP. Even with condoms, you’re still at risk for common sexually transmitted infections, and PrEP only protects you from HIV. This is why the official PrEP page on the CDC’s website states you should use condoms in conjunction with PrEP to protect yourself from infections like syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea.

If you choose not to wear condoms, you obviously have a higher risk of getting an STI than your condom-wearing peers. That’s a simple fact. There’s no shame in it, however. It’s just a fact of sexual life today. If you enjoy anonymous play – no talk, no names, no chatter – you assume even higher risk, and such risk is absolutely part of this kind of experience.

Since risk is unavoidable, there’s no reason to let that reality prevent you from enjoying what you enjoy. Take necessary steps to keep yourself healthy. Get tested frequently. If you’re HIV+, get on meds as soon as possible and take them diligently. HIV+ people who take their medications as prescribed become undetectable, meaning HIV antibody tests can’t detect the virus in their blood, and they are unable to infect their sex partners with HIV, regardless of condom use.

Get tested for HIV and other STIs after the cruise.

If you go into the Red Light District often and regularly have sex there, please get tested after our time together. Frequent testing is how our community reduces the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

SPECIAL NEEDS

Do you have a special need in regard to mobility, stateroom accommodations (for example, needing a shower stool), dietary restrictions, or medical equipment being brought onboard (for example, a CPAP machine and you’re in need of distilled water)?

If so, Celebrity has an entire department to handle these types of special requests. To begin the process, simply click on the link below and download and complete their Guest Special Needs Form. From there, just follow the instructions and send to special_needs@celebrity.com. Celebrity asks that these requests be completed at least 30 days in advance of the sailing. While requests can certainly be sent in after that date, there’s no guarantee Celebrity will be able to accommodate it, but they will do their very best. The deadline for requests is Tuesday, July 7.

If you’re deaf and in need of an ASL Interpreter on the cruise, please alert both Celebrity using the form above AND VACAYA by emailing info@myvacaya.com.

STATEROOM SHOWERS

A cheeky little bathroom note: most stateroom showers aboard Celebrity Equinox do not have a handheld wand, so anyone who prefers a little extra “backstage prep” before the curtain rises should plan accordingly and bring whatever personal cleansing option works best for them. The good news? Your shower does include shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, so the basics are covered. But for our beautifully prepared bottoms, consider this your loving nudge to think ahead, pack smart, and keep your pre-show ritual as smooth as the performance itself.

For those looking for a clever solution, Mr. S Leather has a slip-over-the-showerhead option you may want to consider purchasing and bringing along.

THERMAL SUITE

Passes to Equinox’s Persian Garden Thermal Suite will be sold ONLINE once you have your Celebrity Booking Number, leaving a small percentage of passes available for purchase on board.

Before you purchase a pass, however, please understand this space…

First and foremost, it’s important to get this most crucial of issues out of the way first: the Persian Garden is NOT a sanctioned play space. It never has been, and it never will be.

Many guests of all genders pay top dollar for massage treatments in the spa – some of which include Thermal Suite access before/after their session as part of the therapy. Spa workers will be coming in and out of the Thermal Suite non-stop to collect those guests. While certainly relaxing and meditative, this is their workspace. It’s NOT a space for sex.

Now, let’s talk “for reals.” We recognize there’s not a sauna or steam room at any gym on earth where guys don’t do guy things. It’s ubiquitous. But everyone also knows there are consequences to being caught doing sexual acts in those spaces. So just don’t. One thing that separates Vacayans apart from every other group of guests out there is that they’re respectful to each other and to the workers who call the ship home. We don’t want the spa workers to have to kick anyone out, but they will. And if you’ve purchased the week-long pass and get kicked out for inappropriate behavior, there are no refunds. You lose access and your money.

So, what are your alternatives? Well, VACAYA has created the largest sanctioned play area in LGBTQ+ cruising with our Red Light District. So, use it. Or if you’ve found “the love of your life” in the steam room, take them back to your room.

VACAYA is striving to create the most welcoming environment on earth for everyone in our community. To do that, though, we need everyone’s care in recognizing that certain spaces – like the Thermal Suite – will be occupied by men, women, and our non-binary guests, all of whom have paid for a spa experience. Don’t make anyone feel uncomfortable by being lewd. It’s not a good look for you or for VACAYA.

We hope you recognize that VACAYA is extremely progressive in our views on sexual expression, and we believe we’ve proven that we don’t beat around the bush on complex topics. We embrace sex and sexuality enthusiastically, but we also recognize when and where it’s appropriate. It is NOT appropriate in the Thermal Suite.

VACAYA APP

In development for much of the past year, we’re thrilled to announce that the new VACAYA App is ready!

This app was born from a simple idea: the VACAYA community deserves a place of its own. As many social platforms have become increasingly polarized and less welcoming for LGBTQ+ people, we wanted to build something different – a community-first space where respect, authenticity, and belonging aren’t just encouraged; they’re expected.

A couple years ago, we partnered with MeetMeOnBoard and their new app in hopes of providing guests with another way to connect. While it introduced some great ideas, it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for the experience we hoped to deliver.

So, we regrouped and brainstormed how we could achieve our objective of giving Vacayans a safe place to meet each other, share mutual interests, chat, rally, discuss, debate, and connect before, during, and after their adventures with us. And from that, this new VACAYA App was born!

Your V Team has done a tremendous job kicking the tires, but we’re not naïve enough to think our app is perfect out of the box, and we anticipate there might be a bug or two along the way. But, if you grant us just a tiny bit of grace and patience, we promise to continue refining it until it hums.

In a nutshell, when using it on one of our trips, your new VACAYA App has the ability to replace WhatsApp, Facebook Groups, Messages, Grindr, Scruff, ROMEO, Hornet, Sniffies, Hinge, Tinder, Jack’d, and even Telegram. Yes, we recognize that’s a mighty heavy lift, but the VACAYA App comes with quite a few benefits, including:

  • Individual profiles for all users, with the ability to designate interests and preferences (built to mirror our Stoplight V-Dance, with Green, Yellow, and Red guiding your choices). Of, if you’d prefer, you’ll have the option of setting up a Couples profile, or even a Throuples or Quadrouples profile if you’re among our polyamorous Vacayans.
  • Full schedule of VACAYA entertainment, parties, and social activities for each trip
  • The ability to designate which trip-specific events/activities you’d like to attend, creating your own personalized VACAYA schedule that’s entirely yours
  • The Village – an Open Group Chat for all Vacayans on the trip (PG-rated and somewhat similar to a Facebook Group if it were chattier)
  • After Dark (NSFW) – a Not Safe For Work Open Group Chat for more explicit photo sharing and adult conversation (think Telegram)
  • Who’s In? – This is the ultimate way to put out there exactly what you’re looking for, whether a coffee date, a cocktail meetup, a dinner partner, a party buddy, or sex. Other Vacayans can see your Who’s In? listing and write to you directly to be considered. It’s up to you to find your perfect match!
  • Event-specific Chats (allowing you to chat with others attending an event you’re interested in)
  • The ability to search profiles and message other Vacayans privately
  • The ability to set up your own Group chats, where you invite other Vacayans to join you
  • VACAYA can send you Push Notifications when schedules change or emergencies arise (Please allow these on your phone so you don’t miss out. We promise not to be overly Push-y.)
  • The ability to book your next VACAYA vacation right in the app, with occasional app-only promotions

Both The Village and the After Dark (NSFW) groups can be found under Chat > Community Chats (from the drop-down).

To set up a Who’s In?, go to Connect and then select Who’s In? from the drop-down.

And the best part?!?

The VACAYA App works on board the ship even if you haven’t purchased a Wi-Fi package! So, you’ll be able to connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi, stay in touch with your friends, and make lots of new ones in a completely new AND FREE way!

Download the VACAYA App for iPhone HERE . Please note that we’re still waiting for Google Play to add our app to their store for Android devices, but we’re hoping it’ll be there within the next few days. In the meantime, Android users can access all the app functionality on our web version HERE

We’ve created a couple basic User Guides for the App and you can access those HERE (for setting up your profile) and HERE (for general functionality). Don’t worry, though… it’s very user-friendly. And if you run into any issues getting set up or with any of the functionality, just hang tight. We’ll have an expert on board Equinox who can help you.

So, download the VACAYA App today, set up your profile, and let’s get this party started!

VACAYA HOSPITALITY DESK

If you need assistance with a VACAYA-related matter, our Hospitality Desk is located on Deck 3 in the Grand Foyer near Guest Services and will be open daily. A detailed schedule will be posted here before our cruise. Opening hours will also appear in your daily program.
